ISRAËL TRIP 2019

The Global Young Leader Program of SKEMA Business School is coming back for its 3rd edition! This year the seminar will be held from February 25 to March 3, 2019 in Israel!

This international program aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in schools, the sharing of multi-campus experiences and cultural diversity. This program will bring together about thirty SKEMA Business School students from all backgrounds, program degrees and nationalities with the objective of learning Israeli best practices.

Indeed, Israel, the "start-up nation", is the second largest ecosystem of innovation behind the Silicon Valley. In collaboration with the Ben-Gurion Negev University located in Beer Sheva, students of the Global Young Leader Program will have the opportunity to attend courses dedicated to social entrepreneurship led by the Professor Pierre Kletz. In addition, they will visit leading companies in their expertise such as Intel. They will also discover Israeli disruptive start-ups, eco-parks, technology parks, incubators and accelerators.

Students will also discover renowned cultural sites and participate in a 28-hour Hackathon that will bring together students and professionals of various nationalities and backgrounds. Participants will compete on the themes of leadership and strategy of non-profit organizations in their social mission to improve human and social conditions.

This seminar will give participants a taste of the challenges for organisations in this ecosystem and help them to develop an agile mentality and solid competences to acquire a transversal view of business and its environment.

"The GYLP is a intercultural adventure that brings together students of diverse backgrounds and multidisciplinary areas of expertise. This is an unique opportunity for all students participating in the program, to discover and strengthen their entrepreneurial and social fiber through meetings, exchanges on current topics and future. An inspiration for future leaders and a total immersion in the ecosystem of the start-up nation.” Says Angotchi Evrard Beyela, President of the GYLP Association 2019 edition.

Alice Guilhon, SKEMA's General Director, is delighted with this initiative: "SKEMA is firmly turned towards the global and has opted for a strategy of implantation on all continents, targeting markets with career opportunities for our students. SKEMA is now present in France, China, the United States and Brazil. The Global Young Leader Programme, designed by SKEMA students has been conceived as an extension of SKEMA’s global strategy. Each year its members organise a trip to discover ecosystems in the world that are the most dynamic in terms of innovation and where the products and uses that transform our everyday life are dreamed up, where tomorrow’s jobs will be created and in a way, where the future is in the making.”
