The Inno-Negev Technology Accelerator

A joint venture of the Bengis Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Ben-Gurion University and BGN Technologies
An initiative lead by Bengis Center and BGN Technologies (Ben-Gurion University’s technology company) is the new Inno-Negev Technology Accelerator. Inno-Negev provides students, start-ups and hi-tech entrepreneurs with the support and essential tools needed to advance their ventures .

Inno-Negev is committed to serving as the critical bridge and meeting point for entrepreneurs, investors and global organizations in one of the most rapidly developing hi-tech regions in Israel – the Negev. Inno- Negev is run in cycles, and each Inno-Negev cycle opens its doors to hi-

(Cyber, Homeland Security, ICT, Medical Devices, and more). The ventures targeted are in the early, pre-seed stage and have undergone a rigorous screening process to test the viability of the project and evaluate its team .

The accelerator offers a 4-month acceleration program (held twice a week) to entrepreneurs seeking assistance, direction, connections and business support. This includes mentorship provided by experienced mentors and expert advisors; practical lectures and workshops given by leading individuals and experts in intellectual property law and finance; branding packages; basic venture funding and office space; and more . Inno-Negev has a cadre of fifty leading business and technological mentors including CTOs of global companies such as Deutsche Telekom and Lockheed Martin, experienced business consultants, investors, hi- tech entrepreneurs and more .

Inno-Negev’s greatest strength is the partnerships recruited for each cycle, which vary in area of expertise in accordance with the cycle’s focus of activity. Partners provide active assistance to participants, including contact with experienced investors and, global companies, technical support and more. Partners in the initial cycle include the following leading organizations – Incubit Technology Ventures by Elbit Systems Ltd. NEOT Hovav Eco Park

The environmental industrial council in neot Hovav is a model for dialogue between industry and environment. The industrial park was founded in neot Hovav about ten minutes’ drive from Beer Sheva, for chemical and other heavy industries. The factories Teva, Makhteshim, Bromine Compounds and other factories provide employment for about 4000 families of the Negev residents; their output is estimated by 2.5 Billion NS per annum.

The visitor center in Neot Hovav is designated for groups who wish to learn about the interaction between industry and environment, society and economics, the development of the Negev and much more.
Here you can learn what is a monitoring station, how to check pollution level from chimneys, how to treat waste water so the will not pollute the ground and underground water and many other interesting issues. General Information

Neot Hovav Eco Industrial Park is named after the Hovav stream, one of the names of the Biblical figure Jethro, a priest of Midian and Moses' father in-law . Neot Hovav Industrial Park was established in 1975. Bromine Compounds Ltd and Makhteshim Agan Industries Ltd were the first to relocate their factories from Beer-Sheva to Neot Hovav. The local industrial council Neot Hovav was established in 1989. The industrial Park Neot Hovav is located 12 kilometers from Beer-sheva and sized 5863 acres, of which 1976 acres are used and the rest is designated for future industrial factories. Currently there are 21 factories and industrial facilities on site .

Neot Hovav local council provides full municipal services for the factories under its jurisdiction and is fully responsible to infrastructure development and public spaces. These responsibilities come in addition to supervision and protection of the environment led by the council.
